Sweating Season in CCNU
CCNUer
Hi, Hua Xiaoshi! Did you know that the 2022 sports meeting of CCNU kicked off on Nov. 11th at Youming Stadium?
Of course! And I've heard that the athletes are all energetic and active! Let's capture those splendid moments together!

Faculty went in for "Thunder Drum" and "Land Dragon Boat" games. Their enthusiasm made the atmosphere vibrant, and offered students a chance to see such a lovely side of the teacher in life.
In the relay race, wet though the runway was, the athletes still persisted in running for the sake of their own school. The perfect cooperation of the teammates was etched on our mind.
It was at Youming Stadium that miracles always happened. In running races, some people passed competitors on the last lap, exciting the whole audience.
Competitors participating in the high jump strove for a leap, drawing many extremely beautiful arc lines not only at the stadium but also in their youth.
In the long jump, the contestants stared at the scale line in front of them with firm eyes, stood still, squatted down and took off.
Exhausted and tired, girls did not stop doing sit-up until the whistle blew.

Xiaoshi, these athletes are really cool! No matter how hard the game is, they all try their best to win glory for their team! I really admire them!
Let's go to meet them and learn more about them!

Finishing running 1500m, I was really exhausted, puffing and panting. I used to run the long distance, like 10 kilometers, and I'm good at it. But you know what, I was informed to participate in this event just 5 days ago, which was so sudden for me. I do want to get a good grade, but the principle I always hold is that as long as I reach the finish line, I'm the winner. So no matter what the ranking is, I will appreciate my efforts and enjoy the journey.

Today I participated in the 1500 meters race, and I felt very good after finishing it. And I had competed in some races like this in my own country. To achieve great performance, I have been preparing for this competition for the last two weeks. Besides, I have made some friends in this game, which is very important.

Actually, I was a little nervous before the competition. On the one hand, there was the height gap between me and other competitors. So I must work hard to jump to the height that others can jump to easily. On the other hand, the atmosphere of pre-race trials and warm-ups can also be stressful. But this is sports. When you indulge in it, you are not nervous at all. The only thing I remembered was that I could do whatever others can do. Everyone trying to do their best will surpass themselves, which is the charm of sports competition.

The event I participated in this year was women's 800 meters, and I won the fifth prize. I have participated in the 800-meter event in the school sports meeting every year since my first year in CCNU. It seems to have become a habit which brought me a lot of breakthroughs and let my youthful energy spill onto the playground, creating more unforgettable memories.

The event I participated in was the women’s 800-meter race, and I got second place in my group. I am very satisfied with this achievement, which is the result of my best efforts. I would like to thank everyone who cheered for the athletes during the race. Last but not least, the reason why I chose to participate in running is that I like the sense of satisfaction and achievement of reaching the finish line after running two laps. I love sports, because it helps to build up my body, improve my heart, and enables me to walk more stably on the way forward.

In addition to the athletes, the audience can also feel the passion of the sports field. Let's go and see how they feel about the games.

It's my first time to take part in a sport meeting in China and all the things are new to me. I watched the opening ceremony, talked with new friends and cheered for everyone who participated in competitions. Honestly speaking, I didn't attend any of competitions this time so I had more time to feel the vigor and passion of the sports meeting, which I really enjoyed. I like it very much and I am looking forward to next one!

It was really interesting to find some scenes of happiness outside the competition field, children playing on the playground, people in a doll suit hanging around…… It seemed that everyone here was enjoying themselves. The competitions were also fabulous, especially those long distant events. When seeing audience cheering for athletes, I came to realize the meaning and charm of competitive sports. And I wish all the athletes can be higher, faster and stronger!

I'm from Jordan and this is my first year in CCNU, so everything here is attractive to me, including this sports meeting. Because my friends had participated in some events, I came to cheer them on. By the way, the atmosphere was really good, and all the CCNUers were very active and kind. I was impressed by the energetic athletes, the enthusiastic spectators cheering on the athletes, and the hard-working volunteers. These make me like CCNU even more, and I think I will definitely attend the competition next year.
Looking around the whole stadium, besides athletes, like what Saba had said, there was another splendid part -- cheering squads from different colleges. Some played drums, trumped and danced to music, while others cheered loudly for their schoolmates. And volunteers braved the wind and rain and accompanied their own contestants all the time.
How fascinating the feast was! Anyway, we should exercise frequently to build up our bodies!

Yes, and I believe that the gush of motivation signifies the bravery and persistence of CCNUers when faced with challenges in the future.
